YUKA HASEGAWA CONTRIBUTES TO BREAST CANCER CAMPAIGN

This month is the Breast Cancer Awareness month; there are many events at many places. The Annual Auction Party for supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign took place at the Ricco Maresca Gallery (529 W 20th Street) by The Outreach for Breast Health Foundation (OBHF) at 6;30 on Oct 23. This was the 3rd Annual Tribute to honor Dr. James T. De Luca, one of the first Mammographer who developed the screening technology. During the event, they had a live auction. Yuka Hasegawa, the renowned artist and designer donated her handmade pink fox fur and velour felt hat which received a winning bid of $600. Yuka supports and donated her hats to chemo therapy patients who have lost their hair. The individuals and organizations have thanked Yuka for her contribution and her spirit. Over 200 people attended the Auction and it showed how many New Yorker's expressed interest in Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. The OBHF provides for free mammograms on specially constructed traveling vans for woman who does not have health insurance over 40 years old.
