Inspiring fashion designer from New York held a showing her hats and paintings in Kyoto

Yuka Hasegawa, a designer who lives in NY holds an exhibition at Imura Art Gallery in Maruta-machi, Kyoto. Ms. Hasegawa studied painting overseas after graduating from Doshisha University. Two years ago, hand made hats of her design launched in the high-end department store in New York. Her hats were very popular even among celebrities including a movie star. In the show, 36 ingenious hats with fur and paintings about shoes are exhibited and sold. Ms. Hasegawa talks she wants to create fashion which vibrates a new drama when people wear it.
